Mr. Harry G. "Red" Bialik's Obituary
Mr. Harry G. “Red” Bialik, age 76, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on February 6, 1938 to Harry H. and Estelle V. (Polonowski) Bialik and was a life resident of the area. Mr. Bialik retired from Structural Concepts where he had been a production engineer. Prior to that he was a Barber and co-owned OW Barbershop. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and was an active member and volunteer for the Knights of Columbus Council 706, where he served as Grand Knight from 1994-1996. He also volunteered for many organizations including most recently the former Summer Celebration event, the Irish Music Festival and Parties in the Park. Red loved to golf, hunt, and he will be remembered for his love for his family and his great sense of humor. On September 27, 1958, Red married the former Barbara J. Berdinski in Muskegon and she survives him along with their four children, Mark A. (BJ) Bialik, Daniel C. Bialik, Christine A. (Jim) Wadaga and Veronica L. (Roy) Messick; five grandchildren, Tim Swinehart, Brenton and Luke Bialik and Andrew and Amy Wadaga; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, LeeAnn (John) Ziemba and Carol (Jim) Harwood and several nieces and nephews. A MEMORIAL MASS will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, June 30, 2014, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (920 Fulton St., Grand Haven) with Fr. Louis Anderson presiding. VISITATION will be from 2-5 PM Sunday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with the ROSARY prayed at 2:00 PM by Fr. Louis Anderson. MEMORIALS may be made to Knights of Columbus Council 706. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Please join the family for a CELEBRATION of Red’s life starting at 4:00 PM Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Knights of Columbus (2915 Fairfield St, Norton Shores, MI).
