Harry L. McAdow's Obituary
Harry L. McAdow, age 88, passed away Wednesday August 26, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 15, 1932 to Frank and Echoe (Radoubough) McAdow Sr. at home in Muskegon, MI near the river. He has lived in Muskegon all his life and graduated from North Muskegon high school, graduating class of 52’. He was a proud veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and in his earlier years was an attendant of Wolf Lake Baptist Church. Harry was a dedicated employee at Brunswick Corp for many years as a carpenter before retiring. On July 27, 1956 he married the love of his life Constance Toman in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 64 years of memories filled with love and laughter. Harry was known for being an outdoorsman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent numerous hours on the Muskegon River. Harry was the prime example of a family man, who will always be remembered by the unconditional love that he had for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He allowed his faith to guide him through life which attributed to his humble personality. Harry also had a caring and loving personality that was balanced with a jokester like sense of humor. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Constance McAdow; 4 children, Connie (Jim) Thompson, Brenda (Kevin Lee) McAdow, Dan (Marci Beckley) McAdow and Karen (Walt Bowen Jr) McPherson; several grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ella Radel and Lucretia “Chris” Brott; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wilma Gerst; 3 brothers, Frank “Frankie” McAdow Jr, Owen McAdow and John McAdow; and granddaughter, Echoe Jill McAdow. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Twin Lake Cemetery, 3070 Blue Lake Rd., Twin Lake, MI 49457. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, 49444.
