Harry "Hap" Eugene Norton left this physical world peacefully on July 18th, 2020 with his son Michael at his side, he passed at the young age of 94.
Harry was born to Earl Iowa and Anna Marie Norton on November 7th, 1925 in Crystal Valley, MI with his maternal grandmother serving as the midwife. Though much heartache followed him with the death of his mother and many siblings, he persevered with a kindness and gentle love few possess.
On March 11th, 1944 just four months after his 18th birthday, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until May 2nd, 1946. Some months later he began working at Norge and there was introduced to his soulmate Roberta "Bobbie" Campbell. On November 14th, 1947 they married and their days were filled with lots of love, dancing, and laughter.
Three beautiful children followed and then grandchildren. Harry was an engineer at heart with the skills to create anything he dreamed of. He supported his family over the years as a T.V. repairman, an upholsterer for Knoll Corporation and when he retired, started doing his own upholstery.
He is preceded in death by his better half, Roberta "Bobbie" Norton. He will be missed by his sons Crayton and Michael Norton and daughter Anna (Chris) Muratori. Grandchildren Kristi (Bob) Horan, Rebecca (Jose) Gonzales, Rachel (Damon) Maxwell, Robert Parker and 8 great-grandchildren.
