Mr. Harry James Reynolds' Obituary
Mr. Harry James “Jim” Reynolds, age 79, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at a local nursing home. Jim was born October 28, 1939 in Whitehall to Harry J. and Theresa (Smith) Reynolds. Jim married the former Janet Marie Scott on April 28. 1967 and she survives him. Jim had worked for several funeral homes over the past 40 years including The Achterhoff Mortuary, Tate-King and Pachesny-Jend Funeral Homes. He also worked a number of years for Gerber Credit Union in Fremont, as well as Muskegon Loan and Vets Men's Wear. Jim was very proud of his Irish Heritage and loved The University of Michigan sports teams. In addition to Janet, his wife of 51 years; Jim is survived by his daughter, Jan Marie (Ron) Voss; son, Kevin (Star) Reynolds; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, May Morningstar. A MEMORIAL GATHERING will be held from 3:30-5:30 PM Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Lakeside Café, 1384 W. Laketon Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to the Noah Project; a no kill pet sanctuary at 5205 Airline Rd. in Muskegon. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave, 231-726-5210.
