Harry G. Ryznar's Obituary
Mr. Harry G. “Dzai-Dzai” Ryznar, age 94, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017. Harry was born August 21, 1922 in Muskegon, MI to Joseph and Josephine (Inglat) Ryznar. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, in the Pacific theater aboard the USS Sabik. He married Wanda V. Kling on September 13, 1947, his favorite dance partner. Harry and Wanda lived lovingly together for 66 years, before her death in 2013. Harry worked for 45 years at Sealed Power Corp, retiring in 1987. Harry was a life-long resident of Muskegon. He was a member of the Polish Falcons, and an avid fan of all Michigan sports teams, particularly the Muskegon Catholic Central teams. He loved golfing, polka music, dancing, gardening, and pheasant hunting. Spending time with his five sons for their annual pheasant hunt was the highlight of the year. He especially enjoyed the last 16 years in North Dakota where he proudly held the title of “Senior Rancher” at the Ryznar Ranch. He is survived by 5 sons, Joe (Kitty), Tom (Karen), Dan (Carol), Harry, Bob (Jennifer) Ryznar; 11 beautiful grandchildren; 8 wonderful great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Julia Christian; brother in-law, Edward (Joan) Kling; and many nieces and nephews. Harry is also survived by his loving and compassionate caregivers at Sanctuary at the Park, to whom his family is so very grateful. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda; brothers, Chester and Walter Ryznar; and sister Casimera (Kay) O’Neal. He will most be remembered for his love of family and friends, especially the “Manhattan Club” gang. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL and celebration of his life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 4, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Charles Hall presiding. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 4-7 PM Friday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, with the Rosary prayed at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Harry be directed to St. Michael Catholic Church, 1716 Sixth St., Muskegon, MI 49441 or Pheasants Forever.
