Harry F. Haun's Obituary
Mr. Harry F. Haun, age 86, passed away Monday, November 27, 2006 at a local hospital. He was born January 14, 1920 in Dowagiac, MI to Willus and Lillie (Schwarck) Haun and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country during WWII. He received a purple heart for his injuries in Normandy, France. On July 25, 1942, he married the former Mary A. Javinsky in Muskegon Heights. He retired in 1985 after 30 years of service for Brickner and Crupp where he worked as a machinist. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was also a member of the DAV Chapter 11 and the Catholic War Vets. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary A. Haun. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Harold Haun in 1986. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Honorary Military Rites will be offered by the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to Mass, 10-11 AM Thursday in the Victor Miller Room of Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Mausoleum.
