Harry R. Anderson's Obituary
Mr. Harry R. Anderson, age 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior early Thursday morning, October 8, 2009. He was born January 2, 1917 in Chicago, IL to Waldo and Nellie (Erickson) Anderson. First and foremost, he loved serving the Lord. Mr. Anderson was a member of Calvary Church. For 25 years he worked for Mid-West Machine and Manufacturing before retiring. He also enjoyed hiking at Hoffmaster, bird watching, camping, spending winters in Florida, hunting and fishing. He was a true nature lover. On October 2, 1940 he married Tressa V. Bensinger in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on February 18, 2007. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Sharon Anderson of Norton Shores, Russell (Marcie) Anderson of Ludington, Ronald (Nancy) Anderson of Norton Shores, Becky (Don) Underwood of Spring Lake; 5 grandchildren, Ben DeWitt, Jeff (Amanda) DeWitt, Abby DeWitt, Charles Anderson, Jennifer (Casey) Wilson; 1 great-grandson, Tyler Wilson; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Anderson of Norton Shores. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ray, Dave, and Ted Anderson, and by a sister, Rhoda VanCampen. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Monday at Calvary Church in the Chapel with Pastor Bill Rudd officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIALS to the Calvary Church Building Fund will be appreciated.
