Harvey L. Pummel's Obituary
Mr. Harvey L. Pummel, age 89, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008 at a local nursing home. Mr. Pummel was born November 1, 1918 to Wilbert G. and Jennie (Saunders) Pummel in McGuffey, OH. He served his Country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed by Teledyne Continental Motors as an inspector, retiring in 1984. He married Viola K. Johnson and she preceded him in death. He then married Evelyn Miller Gampher on September 15, 1990 and she died four days before him on July 2, 2008. Mr. Pummel was a member of the Egelston Township Fire Department for 25 years and also member of VFW Post #7729. He loved hunting and Chicago Cubs Baseball. He is survived by 5 children, Harvey (Sandy) Pummel, David (Shirley) Pummel and Jerome Pummel, all of Muskegon, Geraldine “Geri” (Bill) Bowen of Zeeland, Barbara (Ralph) Rader of Rothbury; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Velma Sharp and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 great-grandson, Dudley Halverson; 3 brothers and 5 sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11AM Friday, July 11, 2008 at
