Hayden had invited me to go to the symphony with him after I had finally convinced him that Leigh (my husband) would be okay with me “going out” with him. So, of course, the evening included going out to dinner ahead of time and while we were eating, Hayden asked me how he should introduce me to his friends at the symphony, as his daughter’s friend? I replied, “Absolutely not! Just introduce me as your friend and let them wonder if I was your new girlfriend or not!” So all that evening while we were at the symphony, I would “snuggle” up to Hayden and pretend that I was his girlfriend for the evening. We both laughed about it all the way home.
