Mrs. Hazel W. Woodrum's Obituary
Hazel W. Woodrum, age 82, passed away on July 7, 2014. Hazel was born on July 27, 1931 to Florien “James” and Florence Kiesgen. She graduated from Muskegon Heights High School and shortly after married George Woodrum in 1950. Together they raised 3 boys until he passed away in 1981. She enjoyed bingo, motorcycling, camping, knitting, and baking. Hazel was an independent, strong-willed, loving woman who would do anything for her family. She will be greatly missed. Hazel is SURVIVED by her 3 sons, Jim (Karen), Carl (Dorothy), and Harry (Julie) Woodrum; grandchildren, Stacie (Ben), Aimee (Anson), Zechariah (Julie), Ben (Stephanie) and Jill (Jim); 6 great- grandchildren; brother, Jerry Kiesgen; and sister-in-law, Mary-Ann “Suze” Kiesgen. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; and brothers, Robert and Joseph Kiesgen. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 am at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St 231-798-1100. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to The Eastern Star.
