Hazel R. Priest's Obituary
Mrs. Hazel R. Priest, age 73, went home to her Savior, Friday, May 6, 2011. Hazel was born August 5, 1937, to Clarence and Rose (Cole) McAllister in Flint, MI. On April 1, 1961, she married Walter A. Priest and he preceded her in death on May 6, 1981. She loved watching her grandsons play sports and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Kathryn F. Kohns , Darlynn L. (Rick) Cooper, and Rosanne Priest ; 4 grandsons, Jonathan M. Cooper , Kevin A (Beth) Cooper , Jeffrey D. Cooper, and Ryan D. Cooper ; In addition to her husband Walt, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Michael Kohns. THE FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday May 11, 2011 at Calvary Church (5873 Kendra in Fruitport) with Pastor Terry Fulk officiating. VISITATION will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 and one hour prior to the service at the church (Noon to 1PM). Interment will be made in Restlawn Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Child Evangelist or Oceana Christian School.
