Hector Aguilera's Obituary
Héctor Aguilera, age 56, loving husband, father, and brother, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024. He was born June 28, 1968 in Aguascalientes, Mexico to Pedro and Benita (Villalpando) Aguilera. Héctor worked as an inspector at Cannon Muskegon for over ten years until his health issues forced him to take a medical retirement. On March 21, 1998, he married the former Kimberly L. Hentschel in Muskegon at the beautiful St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church. They enjoyed 26 wonderful years together as husband and wife. Héctor spent every day and many hours in his favorite place called “Dad's Workshop” or “The Shed”. In the Shed, he enjoyed tinkering, woodworking, and creating wonderful metal yard art. He was very handy, could fix almost anything, and would try until it was more than he could handle (he hated asking for help). Héctor was a great cook and loved working in his yard and having backyard bonfires with friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. SURVIVORS include his wife, Kim; twins: Kevyn Aguilera and Cassandra (Nathan) Murray both of Muskegon; godson, Ricardo Arenas; brothers: Juan Aguilera, José Aguilera, Pedro Aguilera, Jesús Aguilera, and Roberto Carlos Aguilera; sisters: Maria Aguilera, Luz Aguilera, Ofelia Aguilera, and Ana L Aguilera; father-in-law, Gary (Penny) Hentschel; mother-in-law, Donna Goode; and sister-in-law, Melissa (Jim) Ferenz; many nieces and nephew and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Antonia Aguilera; and brother, Cuco Aguilera. A celebration of Héctor’s life will be held starting at 4 PM until it’s done on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at his home (more importantly his backyard) at 2054 Harding Ave., Muskegon, MI 49441.
