Helen Dorothy Chase's Obituary
Helen Dorothy Chase, age 96, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born February 4, 1925 in Chicago, IL to Steve and Theresa (Beluzar) Madasy and lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. On June 21, 1952, she married Arden Chase at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muskegon Heights, and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1978. Helen worked as a machinist for Muskegon Piston Ring and retired in 1956. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughters, Lisa (Kevin) Archer, Cindy (Tim) DeBoef; and one grandson, Joel DeBoef. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arden Chase; her parents and 4 sisters, May Sietsema, Rose Goven, Alice VanDonklaar, and Julie Gundy. A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444 with the Rev. Douglas A. Braun presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
