Helen Irene Corradin's Obituary
Mrs. Helen Irene Corradin, age 91, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon Heights on August 2, 1928 to Joseph and Rosely (Kudjia) Pacyga. On June 7, 1945, Helen married James William Corradin and he preceded her in death on January 26, 2009. Helen will be remembered for her variety of talents which she excelled at. Her specialties included pierogis, pigs-in-the-blanket, paczkis, spaghetti, Spanish rice, cinnamon gnocchi (especially if you had the flu), plus a multitude of breads and rolls. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, upholstering, gardening, and bingo. Helen’s inspiration for hard work and creativity is a legacy left for her family. She is survived by four children, Linda Stewart, Timothy (Sharon) Corradin, Tino (Elizabeth) Corradin, Barbara (Bruce) Craigie; 14 grandchildren, Chip (Colleen) Vander Weir, Beth (Scott) Shaffer, Katie (Dave) Baker, Adina (Alvin) Haas, Tracey (Steve) Seeger, Tim (Alison) Corradin, Jr., DJ Burns and Christine Lyn, Angela (Jim) Wyrembleski, Olivia Corradin, Noah Corradin, Maria Corradin, Sebastian Craigie, Grant Craigie, Ian Craigie; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her husband James, Helen was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Belote; two son-in-laws, Ken Belote and Jim Stewart; three brothers, John, Stanley, and Frank Pacyga; and one sister, Francis Laskowski. Due to the COVID-19 virus concerning social distancing, private family services will be held. MEMORIALS in memory of Helen may be directed to Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan or Susan G.
