Helen "Jean" Gray's Obituary
Helen “Jean” Gray, 92, of Norton Shores, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022. She is survived by her two children, Bob Jr. (his wife Marian), Barbara, and her granddaughter, Liliana. Jean was born to parents John and Phoebe Farrell on October 27, 1929, and was the youngest of eight children. She married Robert Gray on January 16, 1954 in Escanaba, Michigan who predeceased her eight years ago. After relocating to California and North Carolina, they settled in Norton Shores in 1967. Jean was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Special thanks to the staff and residents of the Village at Park Terrace where she enjoyed the last eight years of her life, and to her long-time caregiver, Leah Geile. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to the Muskegon County Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped for providing her complimentary books on tape for the visually impaired for many years. Funeral services will be held on 11:00 AM Saturday, October 8, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of the Sytsema Funeral Home, 6291 Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444.
