Helen I. Lathrop's Obituary
Mrs. Helen I. Lathrop, age 83, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 in Muskegon. She was born in Churubusco, Indiana on September 22, 1935 to Walter and Grace (Jackson) McGuire. On June 19, 1954, Helen married Floyd A. Lathrop and he preceded her in death in 2003. Helen had worked as a nurse at Hackley Hospital prior to her retirement in 1997. She enjoyed playing bingo, cribbage, fishing, and traveling with her husband Floyd. Most importantly, Helen cherished time spent with her family. She is survived by her children, Janet (Sandor) Olah, Linda Krueger, and Karen (Randy) Herlein; six grandchildren, Mark (Jessica) Dyer, Michael Dyer, John (Angela) Bridgewater, Jeffrey (Jessica) Bridgewater, Scott Herlein, and Holly (Doug) Hodges; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Albert and James McGuire; sister, Isabel Fielder; and son-in-law, Terry Krueger. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 15, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444 with Rev. M. James Keck officiating.
