Helen L. Tietsort's Obituary
Helen L. Tietsort, age 85, met her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 18, 2022. She was born on February 23, 1937, to Leo and Helen (Williams) Langlois in Muskegon, MI and has been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School class of 1956. Helen had various career paths, but she enjoyed working as a patient advocate at Mercy Hospital for 25+ years. On April 27, 1990, she married Monte Tietsort, Sr. in Las Vegas, NV. Helen was a faithful woman and devoted Catholic. Helen was known for her love of sewing, crafts, cooking and baking. She was always willing to take a swing at a new recipe, no matter the outcome! She will always be remembered for her need for speed on the streets and her amazing ability to always be right. Helen was known to be a spunky woman, full of personality, easily filling a room with laughter. Above all, she was a loving mother, doting grandma and great-grandma, wonderful sister, and dear friend too many. Her loving and caring spirit will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Martin) VanDonkelaar and Karen (Michael) Rambo; step-daughter, Belinda Tietsort; 6 grandchildren, Dustin (Andrew) Deephouse, Scott (Lindsay) VanDonkelaar, Brandi (Derek) Copley, Craig (Sarah) VanDonkelaar, Kurt (Courtney) VanDonkelaar and Rachel Rambo; step-grandchild, Destiny Tietsort; 11 great-grandchildren, Landon, Steven, Trevor, Jacob, Nataleigh, Eli, Max, Ryan, Carson, Owen and Riley; sister, Lois Lynch; and step-daughter-in-law, Rhonda Tietsort. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Edward Ribecky; grandson, SFC Keith Rambo; 8 siblings, Dorothy, Marcela, William, Leo, Robert, Gerald, Louis and Raymond; and step-son-in-law, Monte Tiersort, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 25, 2022, at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441. A visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions in Helen’s honor can be made to American Heart Association.
