Helen Mae Weideman's Obituary
Mrs. Helen Mae Weideman, age 85, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 in Grandville surrounded by her family. She was born on April 17, 1928 in Grand Rapids to Frank and Hulda (Johnson) Leist, and resided in the Muskegon area since 1940. Helen was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she belonged to their Altar Guild and Women’s Organizations. Helen also enjoyed reading and gardening, and belonged to the Tri-Cities Garden Club. On September 4, 1948, she married Gerrit Weideman, and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2007 after 59 years of marriage. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Laura Weideman of Owatonna, MN, Janet (Michael) Withers of Wyoming, Ontario, and Gary (Mary) Weideman of Grandville, MI; 5 grandchildren, Wade (Rhiannon), Mayme (Gabe), Bradford, Robert (Rachael), Emily; 2 great grandchildren, Gretta and William; and 3 expected great grandchildren very soon. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 1PM Tuesday at St. Mark Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Gilson officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 12-1PM.
