Helen D. Bonjernoor's Obituary
Mrs. Helen D. Bonjernoor, age 95, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Tuesday morning, October 18, 2011. She was born September 20, 1916 in Muskegon to Peter and Jessie (DeVries) Dykema. Mrs. Bonjernoor worked for the Muskegon Public Schools in Food Services and was a member of Fifth Reformed Church. On October 23, 1936 she married Jack Bonjernoor in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1996. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Marilyn (Fred) Baker of Wyoming, MI, Jerry Bonjernoor of Muskegon, Jim (Karen) Bonjernoor of Hartland, WI, Betsy (Kevin) Schappert of Twin Lake; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Monday, October 24, 2011, at Fifth Reformed Church (2330 Holton Rd.) with Rev. Paul Burmeister officiating. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mercy VNS-Hospice or the Fifth Reformed Church Memorial Fund.
