Helen I. McMillan's Obituary
Mrs. Helen I. McMillan, age 92, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2009. She was born on June 15, 1916 to Michael and Helen (Micola) Koteles. Mrs. McMillan was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was an avid supporter of wildlife conservation and loved her backyard birds and animals. On August 11, 1938 she married John D. McMillan and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1995. SURVIVORS include nieces, Sandra (Robert) Cieciora, Omaha, NE, Mary Buzuma, Norfolk, VA, Martha Koteles, Grand Rapids, MI, Jane Ladley, Spring Lake, MI, and nephew, Michael J. Koteles Jr., Oshkosh, WI; sister-in-law, Shirley Koteles, Grand Haven, MI. Mrs. McMillan was preceded in death by her sister, Olga Chandonnet and brother, Michael J. Koteles. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Thursday, April 16, 2009 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Muskegon with Rev. Fr. Leonard Sudlik presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 5-7 PM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes. Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Mausoleum. MEMORIALS to Harbor Hospice or St. Mary’s Catholic Church would be appreciated.
