Helen L. Dennison's Obituary
Mrs. Helen L. Dennison, age 86, died Monday, February 21, 2005 in Grand Haven. She was born on April 24, 1918 in Glennie, MI to Phillip & Gertrude (Smith) Deacon, and had resided in Walkerville and Hart before moving to the Muskegon area in 1940. Mrs. Dennison had worked at Misco for 15 years, was involved with Senior Citizens Volunteer, knitted preemie hats for Blodgett Hospital and mittens for Love, Inc. She also loved bowling, flowers, gardening, and enjoyed reading and playing the piano. On December 19, 1938 she married Gladwin L. Dennison in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on August 6, 1987. SURVIVORS include, 4 children, Ronald (Penny) Dennison of California, Jeanette (James) Goodman, James (Mary) Dennison, and Genevieve (Doug) Harmsen all of Muskegon; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dennison was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and 1 brother. SERVICES will be 1:30 PM Friday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Rev. William Uetricht officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Thursday. Burial will take place in Elbridge Cemetery.
