Helen Marie Engels' Obituary
Mrs. Helen M. Engels, age 92, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 at her home. Born July 3, 1917 to Guy and Mabel (Kessler) Cooper, she lived most of her life in Muskegon. She married Frank Stafford Engels in 1977, and he died May 22, 2005. Helen was employed at Muskegon Paper Box Co. for many years, and also worked as a beautician in her home, and had been a member of the Moose Lodge. SURVIVORS include a son, Monty L. (Marcia) Poulin of Norton Shores; a stepson, Ronald (Karen) Engels of Eagle River, WI; stepdaughters: Jane Bean of Zion, IL, Delores Allen of Pageland, SC, and Gayle Stafford Engels of Austin, TX; her sister, Ethelyn Wilson of Whitehall; several grandchildren, including Monty T. Poulin, with whom she made her home; and many great-grandchildren. It was her request that no visitation or funeral service be held. A reception in her honor is planned for a future date.
