Henrietta Keur's Obituary
Mrs. Henrietta Keur, age 90, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at DeBoer Nursing Home. She was born September 22, 1913 in Muskegon to Jacob and Jennie (Kruise) Rop and was a life resident of the area. On November 15, 1940, she married George Henry Keur in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1978. Mrs. Keur had worked as a crossing guard for the City of Muskegon during the 1950’s and 1960’s. She had also worked at the Amazon during WWII. She was formerly a member of Unity Reformed Church and had been a current member of Hope Reformed Church. SURVIVORS include her son, Wayne (Eleanor) Keur of Jenison; 2 grandchildren, Kristyn Renee (Jeff) Bock of Eagle Bend, MN, Mitchell Allen Keur of Palm Springs, CA; 1 great granddaughter, Sydney Bock of Eagle Bend, MN; 1 brother, Kenneth (Ruth) Rop of Muskegon; 1 sister, Trena Hoeksma of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 1 son, Donald Keur, 2 brothers, Jay and Herman Rop, and 1 sister, Ella Mulder. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210, with Rev. Steven Hyma officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION with Mrs. Keur’s family will be 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
