Mr. Henry Bansen's Obituary
Henry Bansen, age 97, passed away on November 4, 2015. Henry was born on February 21, 1918 in Massarosch, Ukraine to Adolf and Berta Bansen. In 1944 he married the former Annemarie Linde. In 1957 Henry moved his family to the United States. He found work as the head of maintenance at American Store Equipment. Henry attended Central Assembly of God in Muskegon. He enjoyed doing handiwork around the house and was very skillful with his hands. He also enjoyed spending time in Florida and had a fond love for picking oranges and grapefruit. His family always brought the most joy to Henry. He was a faithful man of God throughout his entire life even the hard times. He was a thoughtful, loving, kind husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife of 71 years Annemarie; daughter, Margrit (John) Huettner of Twin Lake; grandchildren, Chelsea of Connecticut; and Kevin (Lamphanh) Huettner of Germany; great-grandson, Henry Huettner; daughter-in-law, Karen Bansen; step-grandchildren, Ralph, Randy and Ray Bevins along with their families; and sister-in-law, Ursula Bansen. He was preceded in death by his son, Bert Bansen; his parents; 2 sisters; and 5 brothers. The family would like to thank everyone at VNS Hospice, especially Marta and Angie for their loving care they gave to Henry. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Monday November 9, 2015 at 11AM at Central Assembly of God, 896 Home St. VISITATION will be held at church one hour prior to the start of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Association for the Blind or Central Assembly of God Building Fund. Arrangements have been handled by The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100.
