I worked with Hank from 2001 to 2004 in the OCSO ISP Program with two other deputies. He was a great man, a mentor and a friend. The world is a lesser place without him.

I worked with Hank from 2001 to 2004 in the OCSO ISP Program with two other deputies. He was a great man, a mentor and a friend. The world is a lesser place without him.

Hank had a gift of reaching kids that were going through difficult time in their life. He used experiential learning to get through to them. This included a solo hike where they did not eat until they built a fire with stick and string. I was fascinated by this and he showed me. He then gave me a kit to do this myself.
Uncle Eddie was Hank's roomie at Medilodge for quite some time. We both enjoyed talking to Hank. He seemed to be a very nice, intelligent, and caring man. He will definitely be missed. His family has our deepest sympathies.
So very sorry,
Ed Siemion and Betsy Cech
