Henry J. "Bud" Palsrok's Obituary
Henry J. “Bud” Palsrok, age 70, passed away at home following a courageous battle with MSA. He was born December 9, 1944 in Muskegon to Henry and Angie (Lenting) Palsrok, Sr. and had been a life resident of the area. Bud had been a Technical Writer for Electromech of Grand Rapids for 20 years prior to his retirement in 1996. He had also previously worked at Dresser Crane and Hoist. Bud had previously been an active member of First Christian Reformed Church where he served as a Calvinist Cadet Counselor, sound technician and choir member. He was a past member of the Muskegon and Grand Haven Amateur Radio Club with the call-sign “KA8SMH”; was a member of the Port City Beagle Club, Muskegon Bowmen’s Club and the Sportsman Club. He also found time to enjoy traveling, camping and of course hunting and fishing. On October 2, 1964 he married the former Janice Yonker and she survives him along with 3 children, Kimberly (Brian) Scott and Kris (Ron) Loree of Muskegon and Kevin (Mari) Palsrok, of Sparta; 7 grandchildren, Tom (Manda) and David Scott, and Spencer and Shelbi Palsrok, Christian, Alaina & Izaak; 1 great-grandson, Stuart; 2 sisters, Eileen Kuiper of Albany, GA and Lois (Harvey) Wierenga of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Marge Houseman of Muskegon; brother-in-law, John (Carolyn) Yonker of Kemp, TX; and by several nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Maurice Palsrok. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 26, 2015, at Unity Reformed Church, 1521 Porter Rd., Norton Shores, MI 49441, with the Rev. Kyle DeYoung, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION with Bud’s family will be 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100).
