Henry Myers' Obituary
Mr. Henry J. Myers, age 69, died Monday, May 3, 2004 in Muskegon. He was born on March 20, 1935 in Muskegon to Marion & Amelia (Ray) Myers, and had resided here his entire life. Mr. Myers was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he served as altar boy when he was young. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army, and was the former Shaw-Box Credit Union President for 15 years. Mr. Myers had worked for over 50 years at Lift-Tech. On August 1, 1956 he married the former Renate Haas in Germany, and she survives him along with 1 daughter, Anna (Joseph Bryan) Hughes of Muskegon; 2 granddaughters, “Popie’s Girls”, Katie and Elizabeth; 1 brother, William (Charity) Myers of Muskegon; 2 sisters, Lorraine (Gene) Bruski of South Bend, IN, and Virginia (Robert) Zuidema of Muskegon. Mr. Myers was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Carmen Marie. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11 AM Friday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ernest J. Bernott presiding. VISITATION with the family will be at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 from 7-9 PM this evening (Wednesday), and 7-9 PM Thursday with a Scripture Service at 7:30 PM. Entombment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
