Henry John Versluis' Obituary
Henry John Versluis, age 92, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at Christian Care Nursing Center. He was born September 23, 1925 in The Netherlands to William and Johanna (Sanders) Versluis and lived most of his life in the United States. On August 17, 1958, he married the former Ursula E. Becker in Virginia. Henry worked at Anaconda Wire and Brunswick Corp. He retired in 1985 after working 18 years as a mechanical designer for Sealed Power Corp. In his retirement, he enjoyed golf, shuffleboard, swimming and billiards. SURVIVORS include his wife of 60 years, Ursula E. Versluis; 2 children, Scott (Linda) Versluis of Columbus, OH, Linda Siegel of Norton Shores; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Leonard, Micah Versluis, Jaime Haggerty, Anne Versluis; 2 great-grandchildren, Caleb and Gavin Leonard; and 1 sister Ina Mohlmann of Canada. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna (Stahl) Versluis in 1957. In keeping with his wishes, there will be private services.
