Henry "Paul" Wichter Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Henry “Paul” Wichter, Jr. age 78, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at a local hospital. He was born on April 24, 1934 to Henry Paul Sr. and Julia (Benke) Wichter in Muskegon. Paul was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. He had worked 42 years at Sealed Power doing machine maintenance prior to his retiring in 1998. Paul served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On June 15, 1963, he married the former Caroline Thies and she survives him along with 3 children, Sharon (Bruce) Wilde; Karen Wichter and Martha Wichter; 6 grandchildren, Cory Wilde, Brook Wilde; Mackenzie and Jessica Plichta and Samantha and Jacob Saari; 3 sisters, Louise (James) Humphreys, Henrietta Ezinga and Shirley (Leonard) Mansfield and many nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 6, 2012 at The Sytsema Chapel 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Rev. Robert J. Conradt officiating. VISITATION will be 2-4 and 6 – 8 PM Wednesday. MEMORIALS to the American Lung Association or Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
