Henry Zukowski's Obituary
Henry was born June 24, 1929, in Germany and he passed away at the age of 94. His loss was unexpected after an injury and sudden decline in his health. He met the love of his life, Ingeborg, in Germany when they were both 18. They were married for 72 years and have been inseparable throughout their lives and were always there for each other through it all. Henry was very passionate, had a great zest for life, and took great pride in his family, his German heritage and lived life fully. He could always make you smile and laugh and not take life so seriously.
Henry grew up in Germany, was married to Ingeborg in the US, was a proud Veteran of the US Army, a pattern maker by trade and business owner. He and Ingeborg loved to travel to many countries, had amazing life stories, many adventures and enjoyed time with family. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed sailing, golfing and playing poker with his close friends.
Henry is survived by his wife, Ingeborg, two daughters, Elizabeth (Jim) McGarry, Brighton, MI and Ingrid (Brian) Vance, Allendale, MI along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Henry will be cremated and had chosen to not have a visitation or service, but to be remembered in the hearts of those who loved him. Henry’s life was rich in love and even at the end, he found ways to bring a smile to your face.
