Henry "Hank" Guikema's Obituary
Mr. Henry “Hank” Guikema, age 75, went to be with his Lord at 6:45 A.M. Monday, October 20, 2003. He was a loving husband and father of six. He was born January 26, 1928 to John & Marthalena (VanBruggen) Guikema of Reeman, MI. He was a graduate of Fremont High School and served his country bravely in the U.S.
Army. Hank was a member of Grand Haven Gospel Chapel. On June 22, 1951 he married the former Anna Mary Aderhold. Hank had been employed by Shaw-Walker for 40 years and by Mercy Hospital Security for over 20 years, prior to his retirement. SURVIVORS include his wife, Anna; his children, Susan (Jay) Ferguson, Barb (Matt) Smith, Scott (Connie) Guikema, Lois (Tom) Sprague and Janet (Dale) Rossman all of Muskegon and Sharon (Carlos) Escalante of Fremont. . Hank was blessed with 23 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 sisters, Rena Vanderlaan, Sue Guikema, Katie Ekkel and Betty (Howard) Vanderlaan; 1 brother, John (Erma) Guikema and 1 sister-in-law, Maxine Kleyn. SERVICES will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 51 W. Oak (Fremont), with the Pastors Clyde Afman, Ken Shady and Mr. Bob Fouts officiating. Burial will be in Reeman Cemetery. VISITATION with Hank’s family will be 7-9 PM Wednesday at
