Henry "Hank" Kling's Obituary
Mr. Henry “Hank” Kling, age 86, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 in Grand Haven. He was born on August 3, 1925 in Muskegon to Albert and Mary (Budzyn) Kling, and resided in the area all of his life. Hank worked at Teledyne Continental Motors for 40 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake. Hank loved animals, especially dogs, and built several homes and vacation homes. On August 30, 1952 he married the former Jean Medendorp, and she survives him along with 5 children, Henry (Helen) Kling of Laurel, MD, Linda Kling-Treder of Fruitport, Gary (Brenda) Kling of Fruitport, Nancy (Greg) Pressler of Muskegon, and Brenda (Steve) Kella of Fruitport. He was “Papa” to his 14 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Edward (Joan) Kling of Muskegon; and 2 sisters, Wanda (Harry) Ryznar and Julia Christian both of Muskegon. Hank was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thaddeus Kling; and sister, Ann Kochmanski. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN burial will be 11AM Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (406 E. Savidge St.) with Rev. Fr. Daniel R. DePew presiding. VISITATION with Hank’s family will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Thursday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with the Rosary prayed at 6PM. Burial will take place in Fruitport Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association will be appreciated.
