Mr. Herbert Nelson Ellcey's Obituary
Mr. Herbert Nelson Ellcey, age 75, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, June 15, 2012. He was born December 24, 1936 in Muskegon to William and Iva (Conran) Ellcey and had resided in Fremont for the past 35 years. Mr. Ellcey was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Holton American Legion. For over 20 years he distributed several area newspapers and was a member of Sitka United Methodist Church. On October 12, 1957 he married the former Linda Mae Nelson and she survives him along with 3 children, Mark H. (Amber) Ellcey of Gainesville, GA, Daniel L. Ellcey, Marvin J. Ellcey both of Fremont; 2 grandchildren, Adam and Autumn; 2 sisters, Vivian Metz Burns, Joyce Ellcey both of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Garry Ellcey; 2 sisters, Lois Smith and Patricia Ellcey. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Holton United Methodist Church (9530 Holton Duck Lake Rd., Holton, MI 49425) with Rev. Gerald Hagans officiating.
