Herbert H. McClurg's Obituary
Mr. Herbert H. McClurg, age 85, died Tuesday, November 15, 2005 in Muskegon. He was born on March 3, 1920 in Maude, TX to Russell & Katie (Moser) McClurg, and had resided in the Muskegon area since 1948. Mr. McClurg was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WW II, and was a member of VFW Don Rea Post #8846. He had worked at S.D.Warren for many years, and previously as a fireman in Muskegon. Mr. McClurg was preceded in death by his first wife Alberta in 1988, and then by second wife Sheila in 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters, Winifred Torrans and Iva Nell Johnson. SURVIVORS include 3 daughters, Regina McClurg of Grand Rapids, Paula (Ray) McClurg-Ziemelis of Muskegon, Nancy (Dale) Wheeler of Grand Blanc; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Karl, and Angela; 1 great-granddaughter, Alicianna; nieces, Gwendolyn, Gale, Nedra Sue, and Cly Tee; and nephew, Bryson “Butch”. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11 AM Friday at Bible Baptist Temple (951 W. Laketon) with Rev. Jerry DePoy officiating. VISITATION with the family will be from 10:30-11 AM Friday.
