Mr. Herman "Herm" Timmer , Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Herman “Herm” Timmer, Jr., age 87, passed away Thursday morning, January 16, 2014. He was born August 30, 1926 in Muskegon to Harm and Jennie (Sikkenga) Timmer, Sr. Herm was a WWII U. S. Navy Veteran and had attended Berean Church. Mr. Timmer worked for Geerpress for 30 years before retiring in 1988. He was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. On January 6, 1967 he married the former Patricia L. Good in Holland and she survives him along with 3 children, Jennie Parisi of Muskegon, John (Connie) Timmer of N. Muskegon, Pete Adkins of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; Laura Adkins; 1 brother-in-law; and 6 sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, 2 sisters and their spouses; and a son-in-law, Michael Parisi. According to Herm’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held in Norton Cemetery at a later date. MEMORIALS to Harbor Hospice or the charity of your choice will be appreciated.
