Mr. Herman E. Zuidema's Obituary
Mr. Herman E. Zuidema, 85, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Muskegon. He was born March 20, 1931 to Cornelius and Anna (Weesies) Zuidema in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Herm owned and operated AAA Appliance Repair for over 50 years before retiring, and also loved to collect and work on cars. He was a member of Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church. On January 19, 1951, he married Betty L. Scott, and she survives him along with 3 children, Sharon Murphy, Steve (Pam) Zuidema, Mark (Julie) Zuidema; 3 grandchildren, Kyle Murphy, Allyson and Jack Zuidema; 3 brothers, Ronald (Ardyce) Zuidema, Daniel Zuidema, Douglas (Janice) Zuidema; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Heykoop; and a brother, Alfred Zuidema. The funeral service for Herm will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 695 Allen Ave., with Rev. Benjamin Oliveira officiating. Burial will take place at Norton Cemetery. Visitation at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210 will be from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Friday afternoon.
