Herman J. " Herm" Hart's Obituary
Mr. Herman J. Hart, age 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, May 6, 2011, and to rejoin his beloved wife Betty , who preceded him in death after 54 years of marriage. Herm was born October 6, 1932, to Herman A. and Mary (Bradley) Hart in Muskegon, MI. He married the former Betty Waldorf on November 26, 1952, and she preceded him in death on May 14, 2007. Herm had worked for Subsurface Pipeline for 25 years as an estimator/ supervisor prior to his retirement in 1992 . He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing, as well as attending his granddaughter’s North Muskegon High School softball games. He loved spending time with his family, and is lovingly survived by his 2 daughters, Peggy (Thomas ) LaFayette of North Muskegon and Lisa (Robert) Tardani of Traverse City; 2 grandchildren, Erica and Stacy LaFayette; 1 great -great grandchild Jacob Parsons; a brother, William “Bill” (Judy) Hart of N. Muskegon; a sister, Mary Jane (Bob) Curtice of Norton Shores; and many nieces and nephews . In addition to his wife, Betty, Herm was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Bradley Hart, and a sister Shirley Mae Hart. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday May 10, 2011 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 1 (231) 798-1100 with Rev. Dennis Henderson and Rev. John Brown co- officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service(10-11 AM). Burial will be made in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to DaVita Services or Harbor Hospice.
