Hillard C Bishop's Obituary
Hillard C Bishop passed away on Sunday August 25, 2013. He was 96 years old and lived a good, full life. Hillard was born on January 16, 1917 to William and Mable Bishop in Chatsworth, Georgia. He married the former Pearline Hill in 1939. Hillard and Pearline were blessed with 3 children. Sadly, in 1965, Pearline passed away and Hillard was left to raise their three children. Hillard worked as a tool and die maker for Chrysler for 9 years and then for Ford for over 30 years before retiring in 1978. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and investing. He enjoyed staying busy in life. He was a determined, strong-willed, intelligent individual who will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include his son, Hillard “David” Bishop; daughter, Linda Roberts; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and significant other of many years, Marilyn Boca. He was PRECEDED in death by his parents; daughter, Alma Joyce Thomas; and two brothers, Harvey and Grover Bishop. SERVICES will be held at a later date.
