Homer W. Wright's Obituary
Homer W. Wright left this earth to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 14, 2021. He was born in Shelby, MI on January 26, 1935 to Everett and Hazel (Stahl) Wright, but lived most of his life in Muskegon. He was employed by Bennett Pump Co. in Muskegon and retired in 1989 after 36 years. He was married in 1954 to Dorothy Jean Schlueter, his loving wife of 66 years. They enjoyed their retirement spending the winter months in the southern states doing volunteer construction work for Christian organizations for 12 years, then settled in Lakeland, FL until 2012. Homer enjoyed restoring cars and working in his garage. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Sharon (Gregory) Robillard of Muskegon; granddaughter, Katherine (Nicholas) Penna of AZ; great grandson, Corbin Penna of AZ; daughter, Dawn (David) Stephens of IN; brother, Duane Wright and sister, Judith (Mark) Carr, both of Muskegon; brother-in-law, Jack Reynolds of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Homer was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Herlein, Phyllis Reynolds, Ruth Lane, Wanda McRoberts and brother, James Wright.
