Howard R. "Howie" Boeve's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Howard “Howie” Boeve, who left us peacefully on February 22, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on January 25, 1949, Howard lived a life full of adventure, joy, and love. Howie graduated from Spring Lake High school in 1967 and retired after 40 + years working as a welder. Howie was a lifetime member “Golden Eagle” of the Eagles in Grand Haven and was also a member of the American Legion. He was a true outdoorsman, he spent countless hours fishing, hunting, and exploring the beauty of nature. His love for the outdoors was only surpassed by his devotion to his family. Howard cherished the moments spent with his loved ones, always ensuring they felt his warmth and support.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Laverne and Shirley Boeve; brother, Bob; and great-granddaughter, Finley. Howard leaves behind his beloved wife of 35 years, Roberta, who was his partner in life and love; brother, Gregg (Dawn); his children, Ryan (Teresa), Brett (Martha), Monique (Sean), Annette, Tina, Wendy (Todd), and Wanda (Sam). His legacy lives on through his 34 grandchildren, Miranda, Jack, Aaron, Brett Jr, Jared (Paige), Alisa, Brittni, Ashton (Kristen), Ryan (Maggie), Justin (Brianna), Brittany (John), Cameron, Ghaige (E’lyse), Brody (Amber), Hunter (Savanna), Brock (Ashley), McKenna (Mike), Brielle, Samantha (Jake), Erik (Sandra), Autumn (Damon); and 28 great-grandchildren; niece and nephews, Jenna (Blake), Zach (Mikayla), Tracy (Greg) and Brian; sister- in- law, Peggy (Joel); very close childhood friend, Larry ( Kathy) Lemke; several cousins and many more friends and family who will forever hold onto the memories of his kindness, wisdom, and humor.
Howard’s love for life, his family, friends and outdoors left an unforgettable mark on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
