Howard Eugene Dodds' Obituary
Howard Eugene Dodds, age 89, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, in Muskegon, MI. Howard was born on February 3, 1934, in Selma, AL, to his parents Frank and Mabel (Lawrence) Dodds. Howard worked as a welder for Harmon Electronics for many years constructing railroads before retiring in 1999. A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Howard served during the Korean War. Howard greatly enjoyed golfing, bowling, and working in his yard.
Howard will be lovingly remembered his wife of 23 years, Dorena Dodds; two sons: Fred (Debbie) Dodds of Florida and Howard “Gene” Jr. (Tammy) Dodds of Virginia; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 42 years, Mona Lou Tompkins-Dodds; his son, Otto Tompkins Dodds; and his brother: Charles Dodds. A MEMORIAL MASS will be taking place at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church at 11:00 on Saturday, March 11, 2023, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior.
