Howard Gerald Christensen's Obituary
Mr. Howard Gerald Christensen, age 72, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at a local hospital, following a long illness. Howard was born August 28, 1933, in Muskegon, to William A. and Lena Belle (Bunnel) Christensen. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Howard had worked at S.D. Warren Co. prior to his retirement following an accident in 1968.Mr. Christensen is SURVIVED by his 3 children, Sylvia (Thomas) Trach of Hart, Gerald D. Christensen of Whitehall, and Howard William(Lori) Christensen, of Newaygo; 5 grandchildren,Tom and Rachel Trach, Cody Christensen, George and Mona Dreyer; and his great friend and caregiver, Gilbert C. Plested. Howard was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Robert Christensen in 2001. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11AM Saturday, February 25, 2006, at the Sytsema Funeral Home with Dr. Gordon Aikin officiating and Full Military Rites under the auspices of VFW Muskegon County Council.
