Howard L. Rasey's Obituary
Mr. Howard Rasey, age 71, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Grand Rapids. He was born November 30, 1938 in Stoughton, Wisconsin to Max E. and Alice J. (Eide) Rasey, and resided in the West Michigan area for most of his life. Howard was a 1957 graduate of Muskegon High School, and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked for many years at the Ottawa County Careerline Tech Center before retiring in 2009. Howard loved spending time with his family, enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, and his time with the “Friday Guy’s”. He attended the Christian Life Center. On June 10, 1977 he married the former Irene Gee Price, and she survives him along with his children, Wendi (Earle) Shaw of Topsham, ME and their children, Nathan, Jill, Brandy, and Jaclyn; Duane Rasey of Seattle, WA; Melissa Tardiff of Bath, ME and her son, Tucker; step-children, Michelle (Stephen) McClain of Spring Lake and their children, Luke (Jennifer) McClain and Amanda (Greg) Childerhose; René (Terry) French of Grand Haven and their children, Jennifer (Thomas) Stearns, Kristen and Taylor; Roger (Angie) Price of Fruitport and their children, Paul, Samantha, and Silas; and son-in-law, Roque Ybarra and his children, Rhea and Roque II; 5 great grandchildren; his mother, Alice Rasey; sister, Patricia (Alan) McKee of Benton Harbor, MI; and nieces and nephew, Kathy, Mary and Alan Jr. Howard was preceded in death by 2 step-daughters, Nancy Price and Sheri Ybarra; and sister, Jane Rasey. The MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 1PM Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Christian Life Center (16765 Hemlock Dr. Spring Lake) with Rev. Stephen McClain officiating.
