Hunter Matthew O'Brien's Obituary
Hunter Matthew O’Brien, 9 years old, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 2, 2015 after a long battle with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). He was born March 25, 2005 to Nicole Jimenez and Matthew O’Brien. Hunter enjoyed WWE wrestling, soccer, spending time at the family’s lake house in White Cloud, but most of all, he loved fishing. He is survived by his parents, Matthew (Sarah) O’Brien and Nicole (Jr. Smith) Jimenez; siblings, Carter, Kloey, and Alishea; grandparents, Don (Sheila) O’Brien, Kari Woirol, Richard (Vicki) Strevey, Jeanne Strevey, George (Ella) Smith; great grandparents, James (Beatrice) Hough, Ernestine Jimenez; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Leon Jimenez and great grandfathers, Donald O’Brien and Frank Jimenez. A VISITATION will be held on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100), from 5 – 8 PM and an hour prior to services. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church (1110 Dykstra Road) at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 8, 2015. A private burial will be held at Egelston Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Hunter’s name can be made to The Stop ALD Foundation or The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
