Hunter G. Brown's Obituary
Mr. Hunter G. Brown, age 59, died unexpectedly October 27, 2009, in Norton Shores. He was born December 5, 1949 in Chicago, IL to George and Bobbie Brown. Hunter resided in the Muskegon area; and was a Mona Shores High School graduate, prior to joining the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and worked on Nuclear Submarines through out his career. He retired as Chief, in 1992, after 23 years of military service to his country. Hunter resided in San Diego during his enlistment and then returned to the Muskegon area 3 years ago. SURVIVORS include 2 children Brittany Anne Brown and Hunter “Blake” Brown, both of San Diego; his parents, George and Bobbie Brown of Norton Shores; 2 brothers, Craig Brown of Bremerton, WA and Forrest “Woody” (Kathy) Brown of Norton Shores; 1 niece, Jenny Brown, 1 nephew, Nick Brown and by the mother of his children, the former Betsy Hartsema. A MEMORIAL SERVICE with Military Rites will be held 3PM Friday, November 6, 2009 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor John Rop officiating. VISITATION with Hunter’s family will be from 2-3PM Friday, prior to the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the Vietnam veterans of San Diego will be appreciated.
