Ida Rose Rozeboom's Obituary
Ida Rose Rozeboom, age 89, of Muskegon passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in Grand Rapids Michigan. Born July 30, 1931 in Northville Michigan, Ida was the fifth child of Roy and Viola (Keller) Laney. A resident of Wolf Lake for over 60 years, Ida was an active member of her community, serving as a bus driver for Oakridge Public Schools, an LPN at Mercy Hospital, and following her retirement from nursing, a greeter at Sam’s Club until she was 83 years old. Ida was a charter member of Grace CRC, attending with her family for many years; later in life, she attended Wolf Lake United Methodist. An accomplished musician, Ida enjoyed playing the organ, singing, gardening, and the company of friends. In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Cindy, and by her siblings Sidney Laney, Roy Laney, Myrtle Stark, Patricia Chisholm, and Virginia Rull. Survivors include her sons Gary (Marla) Rozeboom and Ted (Gloria) Rozeboom, her son-in-law Michael Graham, her grandsons Nathan Rozeboom and Andrew Graham, her great-granddaughter Olivia Graham, and her special friend Donna Keck. As she requested, no funeral services will be held. Interment will be in Egelston Township Cemetery. Those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to Kindred Hospice of Grand Rapids.
