Mrs. Ida Sekeres' Obituary
Mrs. Ida Sekeres, 100 years old, passed away Thursday evening, September 10, 2015 in Muskegon. Born April 12, 1915 in Java, South Dakota to Carl and Matilda (Aldinger) Mittleider, she had lived here since 1937. Ida married Steve Sekeres June 29, 1940 in Muskegon, and he died January 8, 2001. Her SURVIVORS include a daughter, Shirley Grant; four granddaughters: Christine Grant, Dawn Grant, Theresa (Jeff) Herbert, and Jamie (Justin) VanderLinde; five great-grandchildren: Jeffery, Jordan, and Brooke Herbert, and Sawyer and Scarlett VanderLinde; and a good friend, Anna Kuczmera. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law James Grant, and great-grandson Wiley VanderLinde. VISITATION will be one hour prior to a FUNERAL SERVICE for Mrs. Sekeres which will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 14, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231)-798-1100. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the Sanctuary at McCauley Patients’ Activity Fund would be appreciated.
