Ilene Y. Steele's Obituary
Mrs. Ilene Y. Steele, age 70, died Monday, December 10, 2007 in Muskegon. She was born on July 12, 1937 in Muskegon to Samuel and Jennie (VanDyke) Morrell, and had resided in the area all of her life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved to fish and camp with her family. Mrs. Steele was a Nutritionist for the M.S.U. Cooperative Extension until her retirement in 1986. She was a former member of Sheridan Drive Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. On July 14, 1956 she married Robert L. Steele, and he survives her along with 3 children, Dennis A. (Marlene) Steele of Indiana, Terry L. (Sandy) Steele of Holland, Denita M. (Frank) Pastucha of Roosevelt Park; 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Tarynn, Adam, Steven, and Lindsey; brother, Ted (Ellie) Morrell of Muskegon; 3 sisters, Joyce Thebo of Detroit, Phyllis (Glen) Curtis of Muskegon, Barbara (Gordon) Bonifield of N. Muskegon; and sisters-in-law, Thelma Morrell and JoAnne Morrell. Mrs. Steele was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Delore and Joseph Morrell. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11:00AM Saturday at
