Mr. Ira B. Trowbridge's Obituary
Ira B. Trowbridge, 64, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016, at his home. He was born May 10, 1951 to Bryce and Margaret (Griswold) Trowbridge in Charlotte, MI, and lived most of his life in Grand Rapids before moving to Muskegon in 2007. Ira was employed as an automotive technician for Toyota, enjoyed volunteering for Alternatives in Motion repairing electric wheelchairs, and was an artist and photographer. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Ira and Ann (Fix) were married 41 years and she survives him along with three children, Julia (Eric ) Keen of Kansas, Janet (Matt) Kuiper and their children, Maki and Jayse of Grand Rapids, Isaac (Meghan) Trowbridge and their children, Avery, Benjamin and Sean of Zeeland; his mother, Margaret Trowbridge of Toledo; one sister, Dr. Nancy (Peter) Carroll of Toledo. He was preceded in death by his father Bryce, and his sister Lucy Wallace. Memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, January 29, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in North Muskegon. Visitation at The Sytsema Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday evening, with the Rosary prayed at 7:00 PM.
