Mrs. Irene Mae Crane's Obituary
Mrs. Irene Mae Crane, 96, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at her home. She was born October 17, 1920 to Stephen and Rose (Wukits) Thomas in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and a longtime volunteer at the Mercy Hospital gift shop. Irene enjoyed gardening at her home, traveling and dining with her many friends. On September 29, 1945, she married James P. “Jim” Crane, and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2002. Survivors include 1 daughter, Erin Bastian; 1 son, Patrick (Linda) Crane; 4 grandchildren, Shannon (Chris) Dupe’, Andrea (Ian) Schnee, Nora (Matt) Mabus, Andrew (Gina Champion) Bastian; 2 great-grandchildren, Calvin and Bridget Schnee; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Michael Bastian; 6 brothers and sisters. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 30, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
